Through this website, detail specification documents for finishing and warranty can be prepared and printed. A guide to finish suitability is also enclosed to assist in ensuring the right finish for the right job.

1. Colour Specification

Firstly select colours desired from the AAF Colour Selector. A hard copy specification documents can be printed. It will include details of official colour number, product use and warranties available.

AAF have provided a guide to suitable finishes for powder coating and anodising to assist customers initial appraisal. Refer selecting a suitable finish.

This enables a prompt approval status and registration number for the warranty requested for the finish and application.

 

2. Warranty Registration

The major powder manufacturers Dulux and Akzo Nobel, (and AAF for anodising) require details of the application of the finish prior to approving warranty for a building project.

The purpose of the initial approval is to understand the environmental conditions of the building structure and the intended use and size of the building.

Once colours are initially selected, grade of powder and the length of warranty preferred is chosen refer to the AAF provide a Warranty online pre-registration form.

 

3. Warranty documentation

Once the AAF registration number is issued, warranty online tracking is available for the life of the warranty. This includes:

  • Tracking all work processed through AAF plants in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne is available for review on-line
  • Section types and section drawings with exact production dates, times and conditions etc. are all available
  • The warranty terms and all the production are then available online for the life of the warranty
  • Registration with AAF also secures "DNA" traceability for the life of the coating

The Warranty documents are then available for printing.

4. Care and Maintenance

AAF strongly recommend the care and maintenance procedures are also enclosed in the specification documents. Warranties will not apply if the appropriate care and maintenance is not followed.

Care also need to be made during the construction phase. Disregard for finishes and using harsh cleaning agents during the builders clean up stage can damage the coating from day one.
